Queue In - Whoop That Trick!

Ok, so review time has come and gone and actually I didn't do to bad. However, my supervisor just doesn't have the kinda time she wants to micro-manage :rolleyes: so though I'm still working for her - I've been sold to another Supervisor for management responsibilities i.e. 'keeping an eye on me'.

So this is a sista - so now I'm evaluating just how happy she is to have her job - thus how willing she is to sell me up the river to prove it.

Now socially we have all been hanging out for a minute seeing as all the folks of color do that. We've clashed in the past because she's the if a person says "Well when I was on the moon sucking ass..." and she'll interject "Well you know when I WAS sucking ass on the moon..." Let her tell it she been to every planet, rewrote the bible, quran and torah, been in all branches of the services - self appointed know it all - but anyway...

So we had our first meeting yesterday to outline my objectives/goals and to rework my job description. This makes my 8th supervisor in as many years in the same freaking department and I'll be acquiring another one we just hired (and ya'll don't think I've reached the end of my Admin Support days... :blast )

So by the time we got to page TWO I'm looking at her like Scooby Doo - HUH! You got me mixed up - I ain't come here to do all that work, lol lol

1. I gotta incorporate school into my schedule
2. I gotta talk to you negroes on the hush
3. I gotta check my bank account hourly - cause it's shady, lol
4. I gotta read my blogs
5. I gotta go to lunch

I don't have no time to work,lol lol - so really the way it is working is that I am still direct assisting my old supervisor, yet I now fall under this new supervisor and I'll be supporting the newer supervisor as soon as she gets here. MY HEAD HURTS!

On the flip side - I never want to make a fellow person of color look bad - so I'll kick into the correct gear and play the game accordingly.

However, I'll have to listen to some Public Enemy AND Whoop That Trick on the Daily!

where in the plantation house on broadway lane, some changes has been taking place here, too:

I had a manager leave - and rightfully so - even though i'll miss him, he was getting ready to take away job duties that support my case for a title change. so the manager i have now, who is pretty simple ... a 'dont' rock the boat' kinda guy... i'm having to work him the best way i can.

this is the same one who gave me a sucky review, because, truthfully, he doesn't know everything i do. and honestly, the review wasn't sucky, it was just, average and i do above average work.

now, my plans is to rework a title change. not ask for more money. not ask to advertise it. no changing business cards. just a change between me, him and HR so that I can be 'official'. What he doesn't know is that after a year, when i think he's forgotten about it, i'll be using this title change to my advantage when looking for jobs that pay higher base on this title and i can slap my years up against said title and have HR official prove it when potential companies call for verification. if the money doesn't come through this company, it'll definitely have to come through the next company.

the stronger support is that my GM already considers me an 'excellent SENIOR coordinator'... i'm feeling that. so i have the eyes of other managers to back me up if shit gets nut.

and it shouldn't.

because i already conferred with HR and she let me know that she'll hook me up with a title change if they get anal about it.

but that i'm not asking for money SHOULD be the incentive to give it to me.

i gotta find out if i'm gonna get my standard 3% raise.

yep. i got my 'annual merit raise' of 3%.

thank you pammy for posting this....it only reminds of me of WHY i need to remember why I left admin support and WHY i need to think before returning :D
