Fam, am I trippin'? I'm sitting at my desk and the phone rings, It's my old boss. I left there about 2 months ago. It's the same company but a different department. He wanted to assist me with a Outlook Calendar issue I was having, but instead of emailing me, he called.

Okay, after he helps me with the issue, he switches gears and says:

"So, how do you like it over there?"
"Is the grass greener or turning brown?"
"We miss you over here"

Fam, all thru this, I was trying to be nice and cordial.....he called me at my desk, so he knew I was at work and not on my cellphone.

Fam, this was awkward for a nigga! No! I do not wanna go back to the old gig. There are pros and cons to both jobs, but I made he right choice in leaving. I did not tell it to dude like that, but if you are a manager, why in the HELL would you call a former employee and ask that shyt on he job at 4pm?

Your thoughts?

Holla
PS: I think that fool is crazy!

for some....

the grass being BROWN on the other side...

they would have seized his opening to jump back in to maybe a better situation...

now that the absence of you has grown...fonder to them.

they are probably prepared to make u a SWEET deal...

We miss you?
He probably does just want you back to work for them.

Or...
Old boy just saw Brokeback Mountain
and figured out he has a crush on you.

Better hope it's the first thing!

If you go back to your old gig, remember you are in the better position to negociate. You should have a lot of confidence and take nothing less than a 10% bump in compensation & a signing bonus.
