Somebody said that to me this morning. How the hell can the way someone walks tell another person that they don't need anyone?
His explanation was that I walk like I got it together....like I know where I'm going and don't need anybody to take me there. I mean what am I supposed to do, walk like I got a hunch in my back looking down at my shoes all day.
Has anyone said this to you or made similar comments about your walk without really knowing you?

I have had someone say something to that extent. I know I walk really fast, staring straight ahead. I guess you're supposed to saunter down the street, looking around you. You also have to smile and make eye contact w/people. I don't know.

Confidence darling in your walk, he couldn't handle it.
keep doing your thang!!!!!
It's amazing what some folk say. If you were walking around alway depressed they would have something to say about that too!!

True Sparkles. I've gotten to the point that I believe that men don't want a woman to be confident or have any independence about her. If she does, then she's kicked to the curb. Go figure.

I agree with what you're saying, 14KBlaqWmn. I've had men say "Slow down, you act like you don't have time to stop and talk to anybody",when I'm just minding my business, trying to get somewhere. But if I was walking all slow, looking downward, they'd tell me to smile and stop looking all sad! So, I say -just do your thing. Some people are going to complain either way....

I hear that all the time......A lot of times your body language can be saying confidence and insecure suckers like him feel intimidated.
