I found out two weeks ago that my current job is about to be phased out. . .only been there 4 mos. and before that I was unemployed since Dec. 2000. It's really hard to condense in the context of this board, and I also know that there will be plenty of folks to come back with i don't agree and i don't believe that so let me preface this with this is what i believe and i am not here to convince u are anyone else that it is the truth.

With that said...

The Bible states that in order to be saved we must accept Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior, and believe that he died for our sins. I believe that, and I accepted him...therefore I am saved.

Am I living a godly and righteous life? I try. I can say that I don't do some things today that I did 5 years ago, or even last year, but growth in Christ is a process it does not happen overnite. Did I sin today? Yes. Will I sin tomorrow? Yes. But God understands that humans were born into sin, that's why Christ died for our sins and through grace and mercy we are forgiven. IF we truely repent. I repent daily because I know that sometimes I sin...and don't even know it. God knows my heart and understands.

What I also strive to do daily is to live by the two commandments that Jesus said were most important. Love the Lord thy God with all thine heart, soul and mind. and Love they neighbor as thyself. Those two I am not missing.

The other things I struggle with in my life, I pray about them and in his time God will deliver me from what he feels is right or wrong.

OhSo, I understand your reluctance to become saved because you don't want to be a hippocrit. But you can't get yourself right and then come to God...you have to go to God first...and HE will get you right. It might take a day, a week, a month, or years but all he asks is that you put your trust in him and allow him to lead the way. You might stumble and sometimes even fall but glory hallelujah he's right there. He will pick you up and make sure you continue on the right road.

I know that I have shortcomings in my life, but I would rather be stumbling on the right road than running down the wrong one.

Like I said, this is what I believe and it not my desire to debate, or convince ANYBODY to believe it also. Just sharing. :)
