Fam, when I was hired for this current job I have, I was hired by the dept. manager. There was no interview, he just called me, asked if I wanted the job, and I then told by old boss and we set a start date.
About 6 weeks after I was hired, my old manager quit. Yeah the one that had just hired me. So, this left our supervisor to be the boss until they hired a manager. Well, this took about 2 months. My supervisor was so sure that he was going to be the new manager, that he started making drastic changes to the job was hired to do.
Well, the day came to interview and my supervisor did NOT get the manager job, so he is still a supervisor. We now have a new manager, but dude is so new to our company, that he has not told my supervisor to chill on job changes.
This is, is that I am barley doing what I was hired to do. Oh, I’m getting paid, but the duties are whack! If I were to tell you all the whack shyt they got me doing, you’ cal me an office clerk, not an IT Coordinator.
Yes, I’m getting my money, but I’m not feeling the job no moe. I have had 4 meetings with my supervisor and manager to tell them to change the job description to include these whack ass duties, they will not do it. I contacted HR and they say that it’s up to my boss to change it.
Hmmm, what should I do after 4 meetings in as many months? I have applied for another job in the same company, cause I think that ain’t shyt gonna change until I bounce…your thoughts?
