Today's Horoscope & my talk w/the AP MGR

Here is my horoscope today:
More chances at boosting your career come today. A person you previously knew is suddenly in a position of power that could greatly assist your long-range goals.

A few minutes before I read that I had a talk w/the manager of our accounts payable department. It seems that I had the Controller all wrong, according to the AP mgr he feels that the company dropped the ball when it came to me, because they knew I was going to school :D.

They are talking about either offering me a Jr. Accountant or Accountant position here :clappinghands:. They said that since I was almost through w/school they might offer me the Accountant position. Which would be a lucrative step up. The Jr. Accountant position would only be slightly senior to where I am at now.

I'm started to get excited about this place that I work. I also let her know that my only qualms is the pay being too low in my current position (I mean damn a sista has to survive). I told her that b/c she wanted to know if I was seriously going to stay here. Hell I would if I was making $$.

So uhhh how do I play this? Do I play it cool? Or do I act super duper excited about the opportunities they are finally giving me?

Okay. They said I have the job :clappinghands:. Well on one condition, I must finish school. Well duh. They had asked for a degree + 3-5yrs experience. So uh, I'm lucky they are going to give me a chance. This is definitely a jump start to my future career as an accountant.

I still haven't heard an official start date. They needed me to give my resume to HR and then I guess they will work out the money part. I'm kind of scared to move from Union to Management. I can't wait for the official word. I wonder if they will take away one of my weeks of vacation? :O

These people are nosey as all get out. I don't even know the answer to any of their questions, next thing you know they gonna be asking me how much money imma make. The sup kept saying that job won't pay less than $XX and??? Mind yo.

I don't even know what the hell is going on or when everything will go into effect and they are already pestering me to train folks on stuff. D :blast

But at least I am finally free from this place.
