Thong Wrongs
Is your thong rubbing you the wrong way
Used to be that thongs were reserved for naughty nights-but after a summer of Sisqo’s “Thong Song”, we all stocked our lingerie drawers with scandalous panties. To be trendy, to feel sexy, and certainly to get rid of the visible panty lines. But some doctors are saying thongs are “ wrong, wrong, wrong.” Thongs are often responsible for a variety of vaginal infections, say Dr. Lisa Masterson, MD, a Los Angeles GYN. She contends that regular thong usage may result in -ouch-an increased risk of yeast infections, labial lacerations and even hemorrhoids. The design of the thong can irritate delicate tissue while the nylon construction traps moisture, creating a breeding ground for bacteria. We’re not saying you should switch back to old granny panty, but you may want to consider wearing a thong only on those special occasions with that special outfit.

I'm not too easily convinced of this one. . .this is just an extreme 'worst-case scenario'. . .I've been wearing thongs for years back to when it was thought to be freaky, undercover underwear. . .they've served me well and I will not abandon them!!!!

Nothing, I repeat, nothing is going to make me get rid of my thongs. I've got too many of the damn things anyway. I haven't had any of those problems. If you get thongs that are not too tight, I think you should be okay. There always coming up w/something. I say keep that area clean, wear the right size and you should be okay. But I'm not a doctor so what do I know.

I agree with Bright. The same was said years ago when we used to wear the skin tight jeans. :p

LMBAO!!!!
But seriously, I think the reason for some of those problems are because folks be buying too little thongs. I have always bought mine a siaze larger so it has a comfortable fit. Plus, don't be snatching them all up your ass when you put them on.....just put them on like regular draws and they will work themselves in on their own!!!!!!;)

I missed this comment. . .
There are several companies that make pantiliners for thongs Carefree, Always so there is no reason to be harboring bacteria.
Plus, like Soft said 'QUIT JACKING THOSE JANKS ALL UP IN YOUR CRACK' :blah:
And, contrary to popular belief, thongs are not one size fits all, if you see that, you need to move on to another brand. . .there isn't a one size fits all shoe, hat or bra. So why when women have all shapes of hips and ass and waist would they expect to shimmy there tail into one of those too small babies?
