As of right now, I will probably be working here mid-Sept. (wk. 19th) and may even try to 'sneak outta' work and hit NYC one night.

(Can I park somewhere safe and catch one of those trains or something. . .I am still traumatized after seeing The Warriors :chicken & that will be facing a big demon for me :eek: But if Mystkev's scaredy ass did it there's hope for me. I know I can do it, too :p )

If anyone's available I'd love to meet for dinner or drinks, I've always got transpo and driving is never a problem.

Any takers, NJ/NY Hushfolks?

the closest metro city to Cherry Hill is actually Phila - if I'm not mistaken. We use to go there to go shopping at the malls in Cherry Hill. Not sure how close it is to NY. I know it's kinda industrial - to use an Atlanta example cherry hill is Alpharetta.

Oh okay. . .we usually do end up being in a business district most of the time and have to go seek out some of the 'local flavor'.

I know the plans are to fly into Philly Int'l and it shouldn't be much further of a drive than it is to get to Plymouth Meeting, PA where we're used to going.

I try to get an idea of directions beforehand because locals & hotel staff are notorious for sending you in the absolute wrong direction! I pack my atlas for FYI.

We already "explored" downtown Philly and Atlantic City on previous trips so if it's under a 2 hr. drive then it falls within our 'exploration parameters'.

But we'll see, my co-worker called me all excited that we could schedule two Black folks. . .normally they have us out there solo with those White folks and that's worse than working with them in the office. They want to ride to the airport together, eat breakfast/lunch/dinner together . . I tell them I need a reprieve and sometimes just have to dip for the sake of sanity.
