I dunno... I don't understand why people feel the need to broadcast who/what they are. Be it on a shirt, bumper sticker, whatever. Just another way to make money, in the name of GOD.

OR
it's a way of just saying that you support THAT TEAM....

Okay....
But if you know that that's whose team you are on, why do you need a throw back jersey to show it? If you are a Christian, it shows.

it may or may not show....
it's like when i go to a dallas cowboy game.....
all the fans seem to wear a jersey or somethin that supports their team....
even though their actions (cheering when they do something) show that they support the home team......
for some reason they still wear the jerseys.
Being a Christian is much more subtle than cheering in a stadium.

i'm kinda scratching my head at this...
cause... i guess you feel the same way about people who wear marilyn manson shirts, or shirts that shows rock starts name smeared in blood, or, new edition apparel, or p-diddy's face splashed across the front like the kind you buy at celebrity concerts?
can those of other religions have apparel?
how about apparel that broadcast multiple nationalities? (i have several hawaiian shirts and its funny cause black folks think the tribal messages or icons are african and claim 'they want one of those' lol)
or is it ONLY CHRISTIANS are NOT ALLOWED to have these types of things?
**********************************************
on another angle:
christians have ALWAYS had apparel that were christian based... this is just another 'type' of clothing to wear like we've always had for YEARS.
there's a whole big business out there for christian wear that many don't know about. so the idea is not foreign or anything new (except for that these are jersey styles)

I never said it wasn't ALLOWED. But when it comes to religion, it strikes me funny(and I'm scratching my head on this also) as to why Christianity is the one religion that is so overly commercialized.
I have yet to see a Muslim walking down the street with a
GOT ALLAH?
T-shirt on.

i used the word allowed, so, no need to act like i put it in your mouth (post)
so you ARE speaking SOLELY on religion
i personally have never 'seen' other religious apparel, but, that is not to say it isn't out there, if not in this country, but in other countries perhaps? and even IF christianity is the only religion who 'do this', so, what of it? exactly what is bad about it? do you feel it does harm? if so, please explain.
without going too deep, i don't put anything past anyone to commercialze anything in this day and time. i learned a long time ago that some things ARE the way they ARE and what's the point of me argueing about someone else's freedom to do it and another person's freedom to buy it? its all HUMAN NATURE and the byproduct of living in a captalist country to commercialize the hell out of any one thing.
additionally, and simplistically, to me, its no different then when non-religious quotations or iconography shows up broadcast to the world about which team any one person is on whether that person is saying 'relax don't do it' (circa 1980's) or pronoucing their love for weed with a shirt marked with a huge marijuana leaf on the front of it.

This certainly beats the hell out of that area code nonsense when it comes to representin'.
They got "Pornstar" tee shirts out - and big middle fingers. I can't see any beef with these. I just wonder if they have any copyright permission. Otherwise, the NY and yankees stripes is relying too heavily on Steinbrenner's sense of charity.

No I would not. I'll be honest I would have to look up all those verses except John 3:16. I would feel quite the fraud with this on my back. I would not buy it for my son either for the same reasons.
Just a thought--Is it the term throwback that makes it sounds too trendy, like it's a new hip hop wave. Would Christian Jerseys sound better or does it make a difference?

TECHNICALLY, it doesn't. But there will be plenty who will say there is a difference.

I have seen similar at my church... These seem to have a NBA and other Pro teams feel or theme to them... But, the quality looks good...
