Fam,I have been experimenting lately with different hair product lines-Nexxus,Paul Mithcell,Luster's etc. I am wondering what brands do you use, that really work?

I love hair care products, I have an entire cabinet full, a really good conditioner is Suave Awapuhi (it's only $1.99), Infusium 23, Hollywood Organic's (i think that's the name) carrot oil, Carol's Daughter, a Sante hair care (moisturizes really good), and I really like Organic Root Stimulator's Olive Oil Sheen it makes my hair really soft.

If you have never tried any Matrix products, you should. I use Biolage hydrating shampoo and conditioning balm, and I love it. My hair is coarse, and dry, and these products bring life to my hair.
I live by pantene and motions...and walmart sells a product called 911 leave in conditioner...it brought my hair back from nappy to happy, now I get compliments on myhair all the time :D

I use Olive creme and Isoplus conditioning shampoo. My hair tends to be really dry and these products help a lot.

Qjai..i too love some motions. I really like thier conditioner although i cant use it everytime i wash my hair because it makes my hair too soft(can your hair be too sorft?). When i dont use Motions products i will use Creme of Nature Products. I have been wanting to use more expensive products...just to see if they make a difference or not. Havent done it yet though.

I switch up with products as the weather and my hair condition changes.
I used Humectress on my daughters hair and that worked well. I use Infusium, I use Carrot Oil, Olive Oil, honey/mayonnaise hair mask and I like Pink Lotion & Isoplus oil sheens & moisturizers. Motions & Optimum is good, too.
Speaking of which, I need to clean out my bathroom cabinet. . .I've got too much in there.

Matrix is a product that reminds me alot of the Nexxus products. I buy mine at the hair salon at jc penney, although I am sure you can get the products at any salon.

I go to GNC and pick up this biotin shampoo and conditioner. It has peppermint oil in it, and it smells really good. It also leaves this tingly feeling in your scalp. Love using that stuff. Just don't get it in your eyes!

The leave in motions worked great... I just blew it dry and let it hang straight.. Don't like using curlers.. And I need my ends clipped so my hair won't hold a curl anyway.

I like Organic Root Stimulator's whole line of products - particularly the olive & carrot oil and the mayonnaise conditioner. I also use the herbal tea strengthener (I've got so much of that stuff that I can't keep of with all of it). I also like CPR by Motions which is good if your hair is brittle.

When I had hair...
I used Paul mitchell Tea Tree Oil Shampoo
I used Aphogee to repair the color damage
I used carols daughter on my Dreads.. I loved that stuff.
I used baby lotion for my scalp
I used sea breeze to clean between dreads
I used pink lotion spray sheen
I used shea butter
Now I don't have any more hair.. so I use the clippers to keep it low..
I retired my hair dryer.. he he he

The best hair care products to me is Keri-Kare...All Avolon products are the best. They have a website just in case you wanna check it out. It keeps my hair strong and healthy, it has been around for a long time. They also make Affirm relaxer.
I use Isoplus oil sheen just because, and African pride oil to give it a nice smell and shine.
I switched hairdresser about six months ago, and my old hairdresser was using Affim and Keri-Kare products, I went to my new one and she was using Dudley's...that shit is too strong for my hair, it was slowly eating my hair away. I had to tell my hairdresser she needs to start using Affrim on my hair, and the minute she did it stop breaking and its on its way back to heathly hair.:upretty

I'll have to try some of the products y'all have mentioned.
Here's one that I've found that's good for in-between perms. It helps keep the roots from "napping up". It's called Wild Growth Hair Oil. It's in a white bottle with a green diamond on the front. It's about 12 bucks a bottle.

May need to try it on my daughter's hair. . .Humectress is good but it leave some residue and weighs her hair down. . .which you know I don't care about since I grew up having BERGAMOT slapped in my head. . .everyone knows that stuff is no joke!
