I have never seen a more disorganized airport........

I suppose I shouldn't indict the entire airport, but....I will at least lay some blame at their feet as AMERICA WEST gets the bulk....

My flight got cancelled on Sunday evening.......

and I am just getting home today at about 2:30pm.....

I will join the discussions after I put out some of these landlord/tenant fires that started over the weekend.


Thanks to mystkev for keepin a brotha company as the airline was gracious enough to put me up in a hotel hear her house....

The Oakland Airport is pretty good. Cancellations happen, but we sho don't have to like it. Damn. I hate cancellations.

These Delta bastards cancelled our 10:56pm flight (Admin-thats why SAC was looking like Xmas in August). First they said it was due to storms in ATL, said they cxlld 60 flights in ATL. CL & I had to stand in line for 3 hours, get to the counter and they put us on a the phantom flight that stupposedly left ATL @ Midnight so it would get to SAC @ 3:30AM and we could board at 4AM, they gave us boarding passed and checked our luggage and everything, we take our ass through security and sit at the gate and mofos is sprawled out on the floors like its a sleepover. Folks peeling paint off the walls with their snoring (CL-LOL). 3:30AM, lil Doogie Howser comes upstairs to the counter makes an announcement taht the the 4AM flight to ATL has been cxlld. Then says they are gonna have a bus takes us ALL to OAK to see if they can fly us out there...whhhhhhhhhhhhhaaatthefuckevaaaaaaaaaa!!!


SO we are told we have to go to baggage claim and retrieve our luggage and go get reprotected on another flights. So this was another 4 hours in line. Meanwhile the folks who have the first AM's flight out of SAC start to arrive and they asses checking in through the Delta Kiosks and going on their merrily little way.

We finally get put on a flight leaving SAC @ 7:15AM that leaves at 7:55, going to SLC (Utah), we go thru security and the line is HELLA long n shit and im like ok, watch we dont make the damn flight tryin to get thru security.

We get to the gate and Muhatma Ghandi says we are on standby and so Sea SNAPS, because im standing in her face with a boarding pass with assigned seats. Then CL starts to go off, and OSamabeenhiding says you dont have to keep carrying on. Now why lil miss rag head wanna go n say that, after that comment, she felt the wrath of CL SMOOTH when we been in the airport since 10:00PM the nite before, WTS.

Needless to say, there were 2 guys who were flying standby becuz they missed their flight due to their own negligence and she bumped them off the flight to accomadate us, DELTA GIVES NEW MEANING TO UNORGANIZED!


after we arrive in SLC, we flight to CINCY from CINCY to ORF, we just got home at 10:00 EST.

Thanks for the CVG shout-out!!!

I know all about "trying" to come back from Cali (because of work) and I know it's frustrating but unless you have direct flight, there's a good chance ATL is gonna be experiencing delays/cancellations.

We've also had the prospect of getting on a bus and "maybe" get on another flight at a neighboring airport.

EXACTLY!!! I didnt care about the airline footing the hotel stay, I know how to work that, I just didnt like them baiting us with the phantom flight. Had they been honest and said we cant get you out till the AM, I would have said OK, and went to a hotel and got some damn SLEEEP in a BED! and brought our ass back to the airport in AM.

SAC airport was cool with me.......had no problems.
