From Honey Magazine online:
I got this Spanish chica, she don't like me to roam/So she call me cabron plus marricon Said she likes to cook rice/So she likes me home/I'm like, "Un momento" - mami, slow up your tempo.

And the insults keep flowing. Jigga goes on to say that he’s got a “black chick” who talks “out her neck, makin’ her fingers snap,” and a Chinese chick who he had to dismiss because "she kept bootleggin’ my shit.” He saves his pearl, though, for his “African chick”—calling her “Ms. Fufu” and, in making a play on an old Eddie Murphy joke, complains that she wants half his riches even though when he met her, she was “dead broke and naked.”

I love JayZ...(If I don't say that Soft will beat me up again :beating ) ;)
But should we ladies not be a lil concerned if not insulted by the stereotypical lyrics of this song.

What you think Hush Fam?

to me this falls right in line with the terms bitch and hoe. I am not offended because that doesn't apply to me. But thats just me.

I think that the lyrics are silly but I don't take them seriously-which is how I feel about most rap songs. I do wish that they would elevate their lyrical content ,though

BET
jay-z
mystikal

etc etc

the list of offenders grows! be careful what you allow your kids to hear. remember that lucifer (before his fall) was the musical director in heaven! words that seem not to effect somehow make their way into our subconscious....especially of young kids.

i am not trying to redefine society as a whole because we all allow society to dictate to us what is pretty, what is "in", what is "out"....we all do that...but let's minimize this as much as possible.

here is an example...of this...

RADIO....how many of us enjoy a song that we hear on the CD....before...BEFORE we hear it on the radio ...10 dozen times!??

So let's just be careful.

I agree, que. I think that we (as a society) have come to accept the most insulting, derogatory words/themes in our music. So,it's up to individuals to be more selective about what they are listening to-especially when it comes to impressionable children. That's why I don't listed to most rap-I'm tired of hearing about people getting shot, drinking Cristal, disrespecting women, etc.

...back in da day my moms would not PLAY about the kind of music i listen to...when i got "grown", she really didn't say too much, but she DID express that she didn't like me listening to different songs...now, i CRINGE when i hear derogatory music on the radio and see my 4 year old neice bobbin her head to it...i just nip it in the bud and change the channel or turn the music off...so now, AUNTIE don't play that! Folks today are so hell bent on freedom of speech, and allowing the tv to babysit their kids, they are willing to sacrifice their children to a lot of the poison that's being produced and played on the radio...don't get me wrong, i like SOME hip-hop, but not ALL of it...my moms and daddy made DAMN sure they knew what i was listening to...b'lee dat!!! Not saying these folks don't have a right to make the music they are making, but y'all remember when your folks wanted to listen to Millie Jackson or Richard Pryor?? we were sent into the next room..that needs to be done now...

Exaclty...I treat that the same as television. Everything thats put out there is not good. Since I can't control Jay-Z or anyone else and what they choose to broadcast, I CAN control what I choose to listen to and what my kids listen to.

But like Ohso said, I also dont lose any sleep over it.
