Hey! I wanna whine about Hushnic

Since I did alot of this last year - I thought it only fitting that I begin this thread.

In order to minimally corrupt the threads and the excitement of those blessed enough (and lucky enough) to go , Here is the place for you to:

Bemoan the fact you messed up and can't go (like myself)

Analyze all the Hushnic Conspiracies

Bitch about how you are not gonna get no love (respect/coochie/dick etc.)

and anything else in this line of thinking.

Pam, there's next year.......but i know how you feel. The year i bought my house, they went to New Orleans.....and i didn't......i was kinda hurt...but the HUSH understood.....Tee was closing 1 month prior to HUSHNIC...there was no way i could have went.

But i have vowed that i'll be there each year after, especially if i don't go any where all year.....i may not be able to spend/shop like i want when i get there, but i'll be there enjoying the HUSHNICERS and the laughs.

I do know that if i could have purchased a ticket tax time i would have.

I have a bad habit called procrastination. I should have purchased the damned airline ticket at the beginning of the year when I had the money, but nooooo, my simple ass kept waiting for a better price. Dammit, there wasn't a better price, just buy the damned ticket and be happy you were able to and go to Hushnic and have fun. Now, my finances are a little stretched and I can't go. So its my own damned fault. No one elses.

But I plan to be prepared for next year :)

Alright - you got a point, but let me ponder seriously, since I've seen this reasoning in a couple of posts, exactly WHERE on the priority list should Hushnic be in my life? Because I think that's an unfair come back

Has Hushnic paid a bill?
Has Hushnic got my daughter some new glasses?
Has Hushnic paid off the rest I owed on the old car?
Has Hushnic gotten school clothes?
Has Hushnic started the much needed peridontal treatments I need?

Hushnic in my book is a luxury and pleasure and I don't have the luxury or pleasure of joining you all this year - because I have reallocated fundage.

I also won't be going to Cancun with a friend, I won't be going anywhere that costs over $50 bucks - so unless there is a Hushnic Scholarship - - :cool:

But seriously, you gotta know that what I'm saying is that we all wanna do shyt, but PRIORITY wise, thangs get cut if they are not high on the list....right?

Case in point:

June..I flew to see my daughter graduate. (flight and 2 days off from work)
July...$400 brake job on the Ack!!! (1 day off from work)
Last week, my daughter came to visit (another flight and 2 days off from work).
This week is Hushnic (2 days off from work, but I requested this time off in April)

Q: Was I gonna put my daughter on Hold for Hushnic? Nope!...but I was smart, what I did was plan for both events......... months in advance. Yeah, money is a lil short.
But due to careful planning, I'm able to do both.

So, like I say, black folks can do anything they really really wanna do.
