Nice = Weak~??

I don't understand . . . why do some people mistake niceness for weakness~?? :confused:

Why is it that if I am a nice person, I am weak . . . and therefore, you try to take advantage of me~?? :rolleyes: I really don't see a correlation between the two, but some people always mistake my being nice for being weak~!!

Despite what others may think, I don't think I'm weak at all . . but, I am very nice~!! :cool:

I don't have an answer but I seem to fall into this category with some men who feel that they think they can play you or just act like your head screws on and off.

I think people who are suspicious and into game-playing are really sad because they don't know basic human courtesy when they see it. . .they'll end up missing out in the end.

I think people who take advantage of nice people don't really know how to react to them. I think they have been screwed once or twice by the mean people, so they are screwed up themselves.

It does suck when people automatically think they can walk all over you when you're nice to them.

Alot do take kindness for weakness, and try to take advantage. I have been burned by those that have done that to me. I have learned to set boundaries, and let a person know with a quickness that niceness has it's limits.

I think that the people who mistake kindness for weakness and try to take advantage do so because they have never really had anyone treat them with genuine kindness therefore they don't know how to handle it. Alot of them have been burned so much they don't believe true nice people exist. It's sad really. :(
