(Dec. 27, 2001)FROM THE EUR:

*It's on now. So soon after American Music Awards producer Dick Clark took on the Grammy's, suing them for stealing away mega star Michael Jackson, the AMAs are going to have to take on Michael Jackson.
CBS will rebroadcast his ratings-winning "Michael Jackson: 30th Anniversary Celebration" on January 9 at 9 p.m. The TV concert special will run head to head with ABC's AMAs. Well, damn.

Just last week Clark sued the Grammys alleging the Recording Academy CEO Michael Greene of forcing Jackson to back out of his oral agreement to perform at the AMAs, where he was to receive the Artist of the Century Award.

i think dick clark is right for suing the grammys. this is probably the last straw for him. the grammys has been doing this for years (making artists agree to only perform on their show). and now when mike is supposed to perform, they are doing the same thing when you know good and well hr'body (that's everybody in ebonics) will want to watch mike. i think its real dirty that CBS would rebroadcast the anniversary show on the same day as the american music awards on ABC. that ain't right!!! i guess when it comes down to it, its all about politics. you go dick!! ..(clark that is). lol.
