Cali folks... post tips on what they should pack in their suit cases to prepare for Northern California's micro-climate weather!

for those who dont know: from city to city... weather can change on you... a hot day can turn into a cool afternoon and windy cold night quickly.

Shit. I'm a local and I travel with a coat at all times, so I suggest they bring a coat. It will get cold even in the summer.

DON'T PLAY YA'LL... you'll be at pier 39 buying $50 'i love san francisco' sweat shirts WITH the hood and wishin you brought your long pants :D

(PS - BRING TENNIS SHOES and change out of your sandals in the car... i plan on taking ya'll to a spot where you'll do a lot of walking. its not the place for cute sandals.)

i remember....

wearing sandals and .....looking at the wharf for a place to BUY SOME SOCKS!!!! cuz my toes were freezing the fug off!

Yes, it's important to always take a jacket. I was talking to my uncle about that recently. You guys are in for a treat though, b/c the weather has been really warm as of late here in SF.

Holla Yessirree Bob! Although I live by the water, Alameda has some fantastic weather.

Definitely a jacket, shawl or whatever will keep you warm. Also ladies, bring some pants (slacks, jeans, etc...) as well. I know where Admin lives and the surrounding areas tends to be warmer this time of year, but like the others have said the Bay has some of the strangest weather during the summer months.

I been checking ya'll weather since the weekend

57 night

57 for us on this coast is nice weather.....especially at night, but i'm coming prepared.
