I was thinking we were cruising as well but no one came up with dates. It might be nice to pick a long weekend when everyone could have a day off but if it's an annual August thing, then that's cool, too.

Maybe Admin needs to declare the dates and then we can work from there.

a cruise would be nice. i spoke with some who thought that it would be a uncommittal situation. i can't talk, i let coochie and $$ keep me from vegas.

however, a cruise ship has like 2 big state room in the middle for ballers. they have like four bedroom penthouses for like $8k, but if 12 folks or more split it, that's less than $700/ person. you can count on 6-8 for-sures. anyone extra is a benny.

dallas and houston and even san antonio are all of the chain!

take it enter national... canada? there's a big festival the last weeknd on august. it's thrown by the descendants of the first black slaves to make it thru the underground railroad. my boy married one. a dayum!!!!!! she fine. they all black, indian and french canadian mixes. i digress.

it's an option.

the shopping trip from the vegas hushnic was kinda a waste of time....why drive out of vegas to find stuff when you havent discovered ALL of vegas....there was so much that we tried to rush in that last day....time flies when you are havin fun!

we spoked breifly and figured it was a tad bit too late to plan a cruise because of the large amount of money you would have to rush to send in.

on top of that...we really didn't talk any more about the cruise after the whole 9/11 event because we didn't know how folks would feel about traveling.

now that it is 2002, i can see here that you all are back to your crazy selves!

it just so happens that i was gonna take my son to d-world. if you all decide to go, then, i will have to change the trip because my baby cannot come and party with me...yet...when he get to be 15 years old, then i'll initiate him into the party scene. right now, he has to grow up learning how to party correctly with his (blood) family before i can trust him with ya'll! :beer

Now Cali would be nice. I haven't been there in a looonnnnnggg time. I was in Orlando during my honeymoon. Didn't go to Disney World, just chilled in the room. I was tired after the cruise we went on.

I really, really want to participate in a Hushnic, but money is ruling me right now. Hopefully I will be able to put aside a little somethin, somethin so I can go. My honeyboo can probably get me a cheap ticket since he works at FedEx. We will see! I am a maybe at this point, but will work on it.;)

Okay, ya got me on that one. . .but the promise of sex on a warm, sandy beach put me in the Caribbean last July & August.

I'm already planning for this one. I might buy a real cheap ticket and cancel/change the travel dates that's why I wanted to know the date.

I don't think flights to Florida will be cheap the closer summer gets.

Well they have everything in major city would. The clubs stay open until the crack of dawn. Strip clubs, malls, whatever you want to do they got it.

we doing hotel rooms or a resort-type condo joint? the latter would come out cheaper. it might cost you $500-1000 for the weekend, but that split among +6 people is cheap (especially since we gotta save funds for the "send-a-stripper-to-college-fund"). it would be wild to have the strippers come to the spot, i digress. folks could reserve their own rooms at hotels to hedge against black folks doing what they tend to do (i.e., no show). someone could price a 4 br time-share-type/condo/resort thingy, and give $$ report by april. and since admin is training us to pay upfront.... that size spot could sleep 10-14 easy. and with the real world motef a possibilty, it'll be fitting.
