What are your favorite cartoons from back in the day. . .before cable cartoon network, etc.

We are sitting here talking about some and re-enacting the episodes.

I loved Tom & Jerry: Remember when Tom was in the band and was singing Iz you iz or iz you ain't....my baaa-by???

Then we started singing Bugs Bunny: The rabbit kicked the bucket, the rabbit kicked the bucket. . .

I remember one I used to really like - the toons that had nothing to do with bugs nem. There was one where the kittens were dreaming about if the moon was made of milk and they were having an adventure. Ahhh such fun!

Does whatever a spider can

Spins a web...any size
Catches thieves just like flies

LOOK OUT! Here comes the spider maaaaan!

Is he strong, listen bud...he's got radioactive blood.

Can he swing from a thread...take a look overhead...

Hea therrrrre there goes the Spider maaaaan!

In the chill of night, at the scene of a crime
Like the speed of light, he arrives just in time.....

lol! I loved that song.

then there were ones that were Hanna Barbera's stable of regulars, like

I liked all of Hanna Barbera cartoons, all of the Looney Tunes.

I remember the cartoon where the pencil thin rooster had a singing voice like Bing Crosby and had all the chickens in the chicken house swooning and fainting. His voice was so smooth, they were laying eggs just from the sound of it.

Tom and Jerry were always a favorite.
Casper the Friendly Ghost.
Bugs Bunny was the Man.
The Road Runner just fucked Wyle E. Coyote up all the damned time.
Fat Albert and the Junkyard Gang.
Speed Racer
Felix the Cat
Under Dog
Rocky & Bullwinkle Show
The one about the Hound Dog. Can't remember the name.
Foghorn Leghorn, he always courted the widow with all the kids so he could get out the cold for the winter.
Pepe Lepew, a lover in his own mind.

I like the short cartoons that had the mice coming out when everyone was asleep or gone and having a jam session. I used to imagine thats what mice did when humans were gone or asleep......LOL

I am sure there are many more, but I can't think of them.

Yes, lovely, I remember when they left in a lot of it. In fact up until the late 70s, we saw Bugs Bunny cartoons in Virginia that had ministrel bits in them.
it was particularly popular, when something blows up in a character's face, to have them in blackface with pickeniny platts and ribbons in their hair when the smoke clears.
The Three Stooges always had the Black janitor or train worker that would give the big eyes and encounter a lion walking around.
