Putting up the toys?

I was um um playing with my daughters Barbie Head the other day - since I cut my hair I have a whole box of fake hair and pony's I'm not using - well she went in there and started making the pony's the barbie heads weaves and I am LOVING IT!! Because of course she's made all of them BALD, lol

So anyway it brought back fond memories - so my question is - at what age did you stop officially playing with toys (of course I'm not talking about video games and the like you know what I'm talking about).

Was there peer pressure? or did you just outgrow them?

I stopped playing with toys around 12 when I got into playing basketball. I hadn't even played a video game until recently when I discovered my niece had the original Mario Bros. on her Gameboy Advance. I really just outgrew my toys because I hung around my sister and her friends who were at least 4/5 years older. I did get back into uno recently while I was interning with second graders.

I remember I was around 14 or so and I was playing with my Barbies in my room and all of a sudden it just sounded real crazy as I was making them talk and interact etc. etc.

now my WHOLE ROOM was at their disposal and I had all this intricate stuff set up in terms of their world. My close friends still played with dolls as well, so it wasn't like I was outside the loop, lol

I remember and I have it in my journal since I still have my journal from being 14 that I had alot of confusion about that whole thing because I had a little boyfriend I was two years IN HIGHSCHOOL (we went to HS in the 8th grade back then) and I was MADLY IN LOVE with Mike at that time, but I still liked my dolls and I had no idea what was going to replace them and that time and exactly WHY did I have to move on and what was being a teenager all about.

Never. I used to sneak and play Barbie's as a teenager and not let my friends know. Barbie used to sing Supremes songs when I sat her on top of my stereo. lol
I still collect dolls.

In college I always had a slinky, or other hand game. I still have tons of board games, Scrabble, Monopoly, Sorry!, Clue. Me and my son play and sometimes me and other ADULTS play.

I still have a large collection of coloring books and crayons (Finally able to afford the 64 box) lol. Coloring is very relaxing.

Coloring is relaxing, I said I was going this summer to take up paint by numbers some are quite intricate these days. I promised myself that when summer reruns started I was going to not just sit in front of the TV, I have books to read and I want to get back into my hobbies.

The craziest thing I ever did was - I had the Bratz all dressed up and what not and I posed them on the table and took a digital of them THEN I superimposed a picture of my daughter in the mix - so it looks like she standing with the bratz on the table, lol lol

I accidently deleted the picture but I had printed it and it's on her wall today, lol
