How do you store your jewelry?

Specifically, necklaces and bracelets?

Earrings, pins, body jewelry don't pose much of a problem but I am trying to figure out what to do when it comes to necklaces and bracelets.

I've got a couple things in mind but first I want to hear what others do that might be less work and more economical.

All of my jewelry is costume jewelry so it's stored in a cheap jewelry box.

The one I have stands up and it has a place to hang chain necklaces from.

Other's I just throw in the bottom.

I'm not real good with storing my things. I generally lose alot of stuff because I take it off and lay it down.

Lillian Vernon sells some great Jewelry Storage items. I store my costume in two regular boxes and my necklaces lay flat in another box.

I am wondering if I can find some of those lucite display stands where you can drape the necklaces and bracelets.

I have some jewlery rolls, and a jewelry box that zips that I take on trips but I need something to store a "bunch" of necklaces and bracelets. . .like 50-100.

I probably need to get some type of storage chest and fit it with inserts to hold what I need.

I was trying not to have to "nigga-rig" something to my specifications. . .

Yep ask your local Jeweler, they should be able to guide you in the right direction. I found this NICE leather travel case for jewelry for my mom - I was blown away it was at the Thrift Store for $11.99 it looks like one of those Barbie Doll cases and then it has two other leather cases inside. HAPPY MOTHERS DAY MOM!! LOL LOL

I'm gonna cruise my one-stop shop (better known as: EBAY) and see what they have in the way of something.

when I travel, I actually use a traincase. I store my rings, watches and earrings on a bed of fluffy foam with a fluffy foam cover in one of my top compartments.

I have a fairly large jewelry case that has space for hanging necklaces, slots for rings etc. It also has some sort of special lining that prevents sterling silver from tarnishing. I got it from QVC.
