First let me say that whatever the name of the group that had that song out called Computer Love they were ahead of their time. Back then, nobody had any idea that people in the future would be hooking up from just meeting online.

For me, I love computers. Always have, so for me I can go a few days without a computer, but going too long and I start feinin' like Bobby and Whitney. It just be callin' me.

As for finding love on the net....well....some folks have had success and others have horror stories. My experience with dating folks from the net hasn't been too bad. I've met some really nice folks over the years that I still stay in contact with, and others I've had to block from my Buddy Lists. But for the most part, I use the net for informational purposes. Occasionally, I'll bump into some folks that are cool and we end up meeting face to face.

I have met some really nice male friends (no romance) that I've known for a few years and have met offline and talked to over the phone. I click more with men than women when it comes to building/cultivating friendships. . .I don't know what that says about me. . .I kinda do (maybe I like men more?? :p) but I really don't. . .lol

I do know that certain sites (BP, BV, BlaqCity and even YAHOO) are mass meat markets and it makes me incredibly sick the amount of pages you get of the ignorant nature. . .I've had to do some blocking myself. . .and not just men. . .if that bitch Jessica asks me do I wanna see her naked pics again, I'm gonna scream.

i agree with you bright! i tend to lean towards the friendships of men then women. its been easier for me to get along with my fellow sistas on the net because we can talk to each other and there is the silent understanding to be civil with one another and enjoy each other.

at the same time, i tend to get along with older women offline. i enjoy the wisdom and life experience they have to share.

I've met so many people online.. men and women... but, very few in person (you could count them on one hand) - again, not including the NY/NJ Hush Fam (that would be two hands then)~!! :hearts:

Anyway, when I first got online about a year ago, my intentions were to never meet anyone in person no matter what~!! :eek: I had heard so many horror stories, that I guess I was somewhat afraid~!! :(

Well... it was only months later that I started to meet peeps in person that I met online... and, I found that each one was different from how I knew them online~!! :cool: Different is not always bad~!!

I've said all that to say this . . . some peeps are lucky with their experiences of computer love~!! :) I did not gain access to the internet looking for love . . . let's just say that it happened and I consider myself one of the lucky ones~!! :hearts:

And speaking on what 14K said, not only have I gotten notes from women, I keep getting notes from crossdressers....what the hell is that about????? Between that and the notes from 18 year olds..."age aint nothing but a number baby....." I am like "Boy I got a kid older than you!!!" I am older than his mama, what is wrong with these kids????!!!

I haven't gotten too many crazy hits but i have met some cool folks on the net, including a few of ya'll. I don't look at the net as a way to find love, even though some have......and out of those i'd say that men are the ones i seem to connect with and not meaning on the love tip either.

Well I don't believe you can find love on the computer but I do believe you can find someone TO love on the computer.

I've got tons and tons of online friends all over the country and I've met and dated people from the internet. I think it's a cool place to find new and interesting people that you might not otherwise have come in contact with.
