Ok let me break it down if I had to do the planning.

Thursday- Fly in meet and greet and eat at a little spot close to the hotel, no big plans but something can be done on improv.- $30.00

Thursday: Total $30-or more

Friday- Get up and:

Eat- $8-10
Shopping@Outlets- $$$(means varies based on your personal budget)
Lunch/snack- $5-10 or BBQ @ Admins
Chill and get to know folks- $0
Dinner- Scends in Oakland-$10-20 depending on how many drinks you have.
CLUB-$30-40 Entrance only $10-15 plus your drinks again.

Friday: Total $50-or more

Saturday:

Eat-$8-10
S.F. Kick it- Cable cars, shopping, walking around town.
Back to Hotel change
Dinner: Nice restaurant $30-50
Comedy Club or Concert- $40-50

Saturday: Total $80-or more

Sunday:

Manditory Breakfast: $8-10
Check out of hotel
Chill and get ready to take off

Sunday- $20 or more

So I should say spending money between $250 amd $300 bucks to go out with and that does not include SHOPPING.

Flight $250-300
Hotel $150-200

So plan accordingly people.

When Chey said atleast $1,000 she was not kidding.

now that is just a ROCK plan for the even, not part of planning meeting, but is somewhat realistic if you ask me.

We dont have long, so save your dollas now.

Keep on ROCKING it.

I can put a significant slice to my travel expenses if you allow me to sleep @ your place, Rock.

Not only do I sleep in the nude, I will do various household chores butt-ass naked (or in a French maid cap/cuffs/apron only) to earn my keep. . .

i didn't see anything about the HUSHNIC BBQ or HUSHNIC LIVE

the hotel doesn't have continental breakfast?

That was a SAMPLE budget sheet, none of that has been agreed upon, but in my mind seems realistic.

The BBq was on Friday's agenda if you look again.

Hushnic LIVE can be in the place of one of them night events, NO PROBLEMA.

Another sample budget... with regards to the new 'plan'... I'm sure Rock won't mind right ? ;)

I may have posted this somewhere else on the board, but i dont mind re-typing it.

********************************
Hula tip on per diem: I tend to budget $10 a meal per day. Even if I don't 'normally' eat a particular meal, i budget for it anyways because 'you just never know. Additionally, I budget $50 a day for shopping. Some of you all may be higher or lower or none... you can change all numbers to suit your taste base on what you WANT to do and what you actually will do.

I take this money out in small increments per paycheck and place them in envelopes so that by the time I go on my trip, i have envelopes devied out for each meal and shopping activity. What I don't spend I either plan to take home (another envelope) or I add it to my shopping envelopes or food envelopes. I always include meals for the days i'm flying to and from my destinations. in my mind, my vacation started WHEN I GOT UP that first morning, and not when i arrived at my destination and it ends when i get to my casa and not when that plane lands on the final day.

IF YOU'RE RENTING A CAR:
If you are renting a car, try and pay for your car before arriving or when you pick up the car on day one (saves you from trying to 'budget' that cash til the last day). Leave $60 out for gas in case of refill before you drop off to the airport. (remember, anything you don't use, you are taking back home with you, which is a good thing).

IF YOU ARE TAKING THE SHUTTLE or cab:
add $48 round trip as a precautionary cost dependant your hotel and airport (and if you don't have a ride to come and get you.)

**********************************
CUSTOMIZABLE BUDGET
(increase or decrease $$ as you see fit... add expenses as you desire):

Thursday-
Food: $30 ($10 per meal)
Shopping: $50

Friday-
Food: $30 ($10 per meal)
Shopping: $50

Saturday:
Food: $30 ($10 per meal)
Shopping: $50

Sunday:
Food: $30 ($10 per meal)
Shopping: $50

food: $120
shopping:$200
Hotel: $362.97 (2 people in the room, this is 181.48; 3 people:120.99; 4 people:90.74)
Flight: $300 +

Totals:
1 person: 682.97 approximate

Sharing rooms:
2 people:501.48
3 people:440.99
4 people:410.74

these prices are estimates and don't include car rental/shuttle/gas/cab fees. don't forget to factor these in as well...

also, we'll have you all on bart and busses and cable cars come friday, so, leave out $20 for public transportation (it won't be this much, but we are talking about budgets and preparing ahead... ) ... add this to your cost as well.

and ya'll know how you like to DRANK... so budget ya licka as well!

$10 for dinner?

In California?

Let me make sure not to open this thread at work or my bosses will be trying to slice our meal allotments.

Then last time I ate dinner for < $10, I went to bed kinda hungry and seeing as how I was in a hotel, there was no fridge or cupboard to raid.

for those w/ a tighter purse string.......it can be done.....mickey d's, in and out..kfc....your average sit down meal...at an ordinary "franchise restaurant" . probably can get a way a with a Chevy's/Applebee's type of enviornment for...$12-20 .....

these are just estimated prices...depends on what you want??..
