I have two questions for you. . .

1) Is it good to shut down your computer~?? You know. . once you're done for the night. . .

2) Do you shut down~??

I shut down every night when I am done. . I've heard that it's good and bad to do that~!!

Which one is it~???

(Awwwwwwwww, damn. . ok, that's three questions~!!!!! )

there are no advantages to leaving your computer on....

in fact...if u do not routinely reboot...windows will start actin up!

I usually leave my computer on all night.

However Que is correct after a few days or a week Windows will start trippin.

Then I just reboot...carryon.

The IT guys at work fuss at me all the time because I leave the one at work on too. LOL :p

I shut down my computer every night, the only time I don't is if I'm downloading music while I'm sleep.

for those of us with static IP addresses....cable modems, dsl, etc....i would recommend that you turn your computer off when u r not using it...because otherwise people (hackers) can use you and your IP address to do some dirt....

now if u r dialin in this is not as big of a problem.

u don't have THAT to worry about...but I would still recommend routine restarting/shutdowns of your computer.

... if I leave it unattended for too long, it goes into this deep sleep mode, that I can't wake it out of. Black screen, cursor blinking. i have to do a hard shutdown ( turning off the masterpiece power ) and let it start back up, doing disk error checks. So, I shutdown... i have left it on all night, and it wont go into sleep mode if my Yahoo Instant Messenger or PalTalk is on.
