Worst Gifts

We normally reserve this thread for right after Christmas...but...I think that we can learn a lot of what NOT to do from these...

my worst christmas/birthday gift was:

on of those mixers...with the two blender things on it.......

yes, she cooked me a cake with it....yes, i still have it today....yes, i use it a lot....BUT THIS WAS TERRIBLE!

I would have to say some powder from Avon..

I dropped by my friend's house to give her a gift.. After she opened it she ran upstairs and came back with some powder.. (She sales Avon..)

The whole time I was thinking.. All she had to do was say she didn't get me anything... I wouldn't of cared.. :rolleyes:

Some cheap ass Liz Clayborn perfume. What made it so terrible was they gave ,e the gift in the bag the bought it, unwrapped, reciept in bag, and the damn change...and gave me the gift in front of my family.

The whole house went off.

The worst Christmas gift I have received was knitted hat & gloves from the estimators in the department I worked in. The other clerical got about 3 different gifts and I got one of those boxed hat & gloves sets. One of the estimators came to me later and told me that they gave the money to one of the women estimators and she was supposed to get us both something nice, but she didn't. He was really upset about it and apologized. He and his wife got me a very nice gift after that.

my sister every year...buys me something from some website....that has like meats and cheeses and stuff! i HATE that! i have been meaning to tell her....that is the worst gift to me...has anybody ever received that type of gift....the one with the meats and cheeses or the one with a bunch of sweets in it that are all things that u have never heard of.....the packaging looks festive, but the insides are ROTTEN!

a mickey mouse calendar from the dollar store from my girlfriend of 20 years.........and i already had one (she should've known this...)

and another long time girlfriend gave me a pair of ORANGE clip earrings. i do not wear orange, and, my ears are pierced.......

The worst gift I ever received was from my great-aunt when I was a child. The packaging was all pretty and by feeling it, I just knew it was a stuffed animal. I opened it up to find it was underwear and socks. I wasn't to thrilled.

Gave me a BUTT UGLY sweater one Christmas. :blah: That was the ugliest thing I'd ever seen in my life. LOL I never wore it and soon threw it away.

I also had an aunt give me some Charlie perfume recently. Who wears Charlie anymore??? :confused: It smells like a funeral home. Ick! :blah:

and last year a co-worker gave me....one hand towel ( I guess the set would have come this year if I still worked there....haha or if she still did LOL:blah:
