i just cannot seem to shake my depression over aaliyah's death, everytime i see her videos i just cry. I think it is so unfair for such a young, sweet, and spiritual lady be taken away so coldly.
i never knew aaliyah so i do not know why her death has affected me so much, but I just cannot seem to shake my depression over her passing.
i am posting under sinnah because i am not a registered user, i like to browse here alot.
you guys are off the chain with some of these post though LOL.

Why are you so depressed over "Baby Girl"?? I mean, we have had so many celebs die in tragicly. I for one still miss Biggie, but I am not deeply depressed about it.
Q: are you a relative?
Q: Were you her biggest fan?
Help me understand

Sinnah,
Are you close to Aaliyah's age?
I remember in college being really affected by the death of a classmate not because I knew her but because we were the exact same age when she died 21. It kind of made me think about my own mortality and that was certainly depressing.

I was very depressed about Aaliyah's death because I have a daughter that is the same age as she was, and also because my daughter is thousands of miles away. It really shook me up. I had bought her cd when it first came out, when she was alive and well. I put it away for a while after I heard about her death. Even now, I don't play it much.
It was a tragedy, and I am still saddened by it.

Sinnah,
Do you think that your depression might actually be fear? Sometimes the death of someone else makes you more aware just how precious and unpredictable life is. Instead of focusing on the tradegy of her death, focus on how much she enjoyed life. You too should enjoy each day as if it's your last cause you never know.

I am around her age, and I was just in total shock when she died, I guess I thought about my own mortality when she passed.
I have my good days, and bad days.
CD fuck you and the horse your mean ass rode in on!!!!!!!!!!

Don't you know that being a celeb is a curse? There is always a price that comes with the fame? ALWAYS...
Name any celeb and I can tell you some tragic shyt that either happened to them or a close family member.

Michael Jackson-Robbed of his childhood, look what that did.
Bill Cosby-Son was shot and killed.
OJ Simpson-Well.......
Eazy E-Got aids from a skeezer and died.
Whitney Houston-Smoked out Diva.
Marvin Gaye-Shot and killed by his father.
Donny Hathaway-Jumped off the roof of a hotel.
Tupac-Shot and killed.
Biggie-Shot and killed.
James Brown-3 state car chase and actually went to prison.
Tina Turner-Ike made her famous while she served as his punching bag!
I mean the list goes on and on! Just watch E! True Hollywood stories for more. So please, just enjoy these celebs while they are around cause FAME claims lives....and no one lives forever.

i understand what you are saying, fame and fortune is not what it is cracked up to be.
i am also sadden by the sudden weight loss of the once beautiful and thick diva known as Whitney Houston. Admin we all say she is a drug addict, but do we really have any proof? I think she has a eating disorder.
I had that coming. I apologize for being crass. I 've been told that I'm a crouch in the morning.
But with regard to Ms. Houston.....It has long been rumored that she is a fiend for the yayyo. That along with she plays both sides of the fence. She is from my home town and before she really became a star (after the first CD)she had problems. My brothers wife would provide us with the scoop since they both got their wigs and weave from the same place...EO New Jersey.
