Well I am now an official blogger! I have been working on my page for about two hours now and I had to pull up all my previous knowledge about HTML. I won't be posting alot about it over here - and there will be no links back here - but I wanted to roll it out to my friends!

Your page looks cool, plicious! Do they have basic templates or did you do the design also?

Hey Sis I haven't seen you in awhile :)

You get Templates that give you the colors etc, but the rest you have to design. I though you would just be cutting and pasting but NAH!

Now I have to delegate a time to update the page, lol Probably get up at 6am and do it, lol

I've got one on there I started a year ago. . .I got so busy I deleted it but I intended to pick it back up at some point.

If you don't understand blogging let it go honey, lol lol Seeing as you only ask questions and rarely contribute to conversations - you wouldn't understand.

If you looked at others maybe you would understand the concept. As I believe it's been said before , it's like online journaling. People go and put their ideas, either abstract or otherwise online and usually the OTHER blog communcity reads, comments or whatever.

No need for you to go visit - if you're not impressed.

Thanks Dulce. I joined the black bloggers Assoc and I am meeting some NEW people. It's cool and I am exercising my 'need' to write at the same time Oh and learning about HTML.

i take exception to this statement.

it is certainly false.

admittedly...sometimes i ask a question and appear to not interject my own two cents....but sometimes in the question itself goes the direction of my thoughts on the subject.

but alas...once again....it appears that i have hit a nerve.

As a sometime poet you SHOULD at minimum understand the complexities of the world of the writer and how a blog or the participation in the blog is just another form of expression whether you are talking to someone or noone. Your continued 'implications' that I talk in riddles and ramble (which of my own admission is what I do and it makes me me) - is your perception of what I contribute as I see your cynical high horse as being what you contribute.

Moving on....Blogging for SOME is a way to be heard, for some (like the sista who wrote The Broke Diaries that started off as a blog) it can develop into a book, for some it's the distribution of political issues etc. I have listed a couple of my favorites on my blog spots - to ME it's equivalent to sitting down and reading a magazine. I string all the blogs together and just read what's on people's mind in a non-conversational mode unlike a discussion group where there is interaction.

For ME it's a way to (1)Entertain, (2) Be Heard and (3) Sooth the writing beast inside, until I get up enough gumption to finish my novel - the market is flooded and I dont' want to be just another black author that has put a book together it needs to be relevant and it needs to be profound - so I'm also dabbling with moving to Non-Fiction - it might just be my ultimate calling.

does that clear that up for yah?

Yes I have not been 'called' strong enough to finish it, and when I was called to do it - I procrastinated and a whole lot of people beat me to it, lol lol

So as I mature and grow the 'calling' is different and the 'pressure' I probably unnecessarily feel due to my parental lineage - might be kicking in.

Okay Pammy, I decided having my own personal blog site wasn't for me. But I am blogging on the HBCU website with other students/faculty/alumni of HBCU's.

So far...so good.

I'm not far behind you! As much as I hate to admit it, it's a slippery slope.
As sure as I'm getting fitted for an SUV, I have to admit I am soooo built for blogdom. I can't do a freaking thing about the dumbass name either. It is a bitch to have to organize, but I knew I'd have to start thinking sometime.

Dre you would be AWESOME at blogging cus you could write 30 minute commentaries and people would actually read them. lol

Well to both of you - I hope you enjoy it. I don't write every day anymore, because I just don't have the time - but I get it in there especially when someone will email me and be like "what's up no entries" LOL LOL I never go more than three days or so and now I got to post about the damn milkman - so I'll be posting soon.
