Parents Advice?

I know we are all "grown ass" men and women, but do you still listen and take advice from your parents?

I listen to my mom. But i find myself purposly doing things differently than she thinks i should. My mom is very controlling as a parent...and i resent that so i usually don't do as she says i should. I do respect her by listening to her though.

I always give my parents the respect of listening to them but I can't say that I always follow their advice.

I will listen... ( You have no choice.. My mother will tell you whether you want to hear it or not.. :upto: :p )

But I seldom take her advice... Not sure why.. Guess it's the "not wanting her to tell me what to do" mentality... :rolleyes:

Me too...I don't always take the advice and exercise it at that time, I may have to rely on it in the future. I always listened to my Mom, just did what I wanted to do and suffered the consequences later, then say to myself, she was right. I have always been one to do what I wanted to do.

I rarely ask my Mom for advise. My Mom feels she's given us the foundation to make it in life and from this point forward it's up to us.

Now of course she gives unsolicited advise, all parents do but I generally take it with a grain of salt.

Too volitile a situation at this point. I have a whole list of stuff I don't talk about,lol

There is advice for EVERYTHING - I listen to 50% of it and follow 25% of it.
