Anyone going to the Essence Festival in 2002?

As of right now this will be my first plane ride. I've been told to get my ticket soon as i can because of prices.

Ya'll start saying a prayer for me.....but...

If one more plane fall out the sky, blow up or get hijacked before then.....i will be arriving in New Orleans by car, SUV, or train!

I've been wanting to go for years. . .they usually have a bunch of different websites which give info about the festivities.

The only thing is that this is the same time as my family reunion. . .not that I've been to my family reunion for the past 3 or so years. . .but I'd kinda feel guilty bumpin' & grindin' while I should be eating someone's jacked up potato salad or watching my relatives cheat at spades.
