Growing up in the spotlight,
a modern day Lil Rascals,
battling in the ratings with the best on television,
kids participating in very adult lives as they portrayed kids...
Contrast this image of innocence....

....From a parade in May of 1997... after each has been through trials and tribulations, it's a little touching to share a laugh and some goofing around. Dana Plato would be dead exactly two years later.

I feel bad about what happened to that crew...especially to Gary C.
But I did have fun with him in the game "Posta 2"

I know they don't have Gary Coleman running amok with guns!
I hope he finds his way to some legit stardom, even if this is it. He really seems to desperately want nothing more than respect for being more than Arnold, going "what you talkin' 'bout Willis?" .
I always liked that he at the very least is still articulate and lucid. I know the articulation thing is what Blacks get used on them as a condescending compliment too often, but it is important. Mike Tyson would have had a much better handle on his anger if he could have been able to express himself and have his diction be taken seriously. He would have settled for least just not being so roundly ridiculed. Okay, in Tyson's case, how much that mattered is hard to measure, but I think for many, and at a very early age, it can boost or hamper one's self esteem greatly.
