Local Woman Seen Tonight on 'Wife Swap'

Mitchellville, Md. (AP) - A local woman appears on the ABC show 'Wife Swap' tonight.
Shelley Elliott of Mitchellville runs a tight ship. Her kids do chores, walk the dog and aren't allowed visits from friends on weekdays.
Elliott swaps families with a Mississippi woman who some might call a push over. Sue Burkhalter's two daughters do no chores. Both got cars for their high school graduations and neither works.
'Wife Swap' features mothers from different backgrounds and approaches to child rearing. The women switch places for ten days.
Elliott , an investigator with the D.C. inspector general's office tells the Washington Post she found herself wondering if she should lighten up on her kids a bit. Burkhalter says she left the Elliott kids feeing she had done her own daughters a disservice by being so lenient.
