Does anyone really get a job from over there? Everytime I go over there I see alot of 'junk' if you ask me. They need to better separate stuff such as Agencies need thier own category to post and the telemarkers as well. They clutter up the real jobs.

I was hired three times for accounting positions from employers who use Monster.com. But I do agree with you Pam, the telemarketer and “work from home” positions – it is becoming a little bothersome. I would try to modify your search; maybe there is an option for employers vs. agencies and contractors.

I just really hate my job right now.

I guess that's not Monster's fault but I gotta blame somebody. :blah:

I use Monster and CareerBuilder.com extensively. A high percentage of the candidates that I place in a year come from the ads that I post or my company posts on those boards.

Agencies are one of the better ways to get a job in this economy, so you definitely shouldn't separate them out.

The biggest problem i run into with Monster and CareerBuilder or Hotjobs is that a great deal of the candidates are really bad.

I can't tell you how many candidates I get that are not nearly a fit for the position I've posted.

But in short, Monster and CareerBuilder work extremely well...

here in the bay area, we use bajobs.com and and craigslist.com. my manager LOVES bajobs.com because he can receive resumes and search people out and all for $150 a month to the employer.

these career search engines do work, but personally, i would verify the company to make sure i am not getting a dud home business listing etc.
