I'd love to sit around the table with DENZEL & family, Samuel L. Jackson & family, Spike Lee...Oprah, & Pattil Labelle...and if Marvin was alive.......oh my goodness...just to be in their presence, and take in all the festivites would be a treat, real conversation, good laughter..and to beat them in dominos and bid whist!!!!..one for the scrapbook....unno!!!:beer :beer

... so if bringing back the dead were possible, I'd like to sit with Martin Luther King Jr., and discuss the current state of affairs among our people. It would have to be in secret, without Jessie and Al and any other high falutin' negro trying to soak up all the spotlight.

There isn't much to do but talk at a dinner table. Folks like Michael Jordan, you have to interact on the BBall court, and with Spike Lee, I'd love to be on a movie set while production was taking place. Okay, why not go all the way, have Spike say, "you write a movie script, and I'll make it...."

Frankly, the lure of having a fine female celebrity in my face is not so thrilling. No need drooling over Tyra or Janet or any of them. Maybe my age is showing, but I am actually putting in perspective being married, and it "intrudes" on these flirty fantasies. Then again, with the wifey, it could be cool just to hang out. I was going to say Oprah, but I swear, all that "spirit' talk is beginning to get on my nerves. And she might bring along Dr. Phil, the shill, and I'd be two seconds off his ass, the way he has worked her for big dough.

my ideal guest list - besides my friends and family - would include one of these authors: Walter Mosely, J. California Cooper and Kevin Powell, so that we could talk about our craft and just vibe.

Or folks that just have a cool-ass aura like Jill Scott or D'Angelo or Sonia Sanchez to just kick it.
