You're engaged to be married, you're planning your wedding.

Would you have your maid of honor or best man of the opposite sex?

Have you ever been to a wedding where this happened?

No, I have never attended a wedding like that. But I guess if that person of the opposite sex is your best friend and you want them to be your maid or honor/best man, then thats up to you

My pastors daughter did this at her wedding. Her brother was her "honor attendant" and the grooms best female friend was his "honor attendant".

The brides brother wore a tux like the other groom's men, but the female wore a black/white dress similar to the tuxes. It was not like the bridesmaids dresses.

I have never seen this or heard of this. I think whoever is close to you should be at your side on your special day regardless of sex.

Remember on General Hospital was both the maid of honor and best man (woman) at Ned and Lois' wedding? That was cute.

I could see me having an "honor attendant" (never heard that term before).

I've never been to a wedding where this occurred.
