I saw on the news this morning that a theater in Northern Vriginia showed the movie at 6 a.m. this morning to a packed house. The line outside the theater started at 3 a.m.

I heard that parents will be taking their kids out of school today to take them to see this movie. I don't think its that serious that they need to miss a day of school to see this movie. My son hasn't expressed any interest in seeing it .

I heard that some theatres are only showing this movie!! My kids haven't said anything about it.. But if they do want to see it.. It would definitely be after all this crap has calmed down... Take your kids out of school to go to the movies? What kind of sense does that make? And ain't no way I'm watching a movie at 6 in the morning!! It is not that serious!! :beating

They had theaters in MD that starting showing at midnight last night.
I'll wait for it to come on cable.

(excuse needed...) because I bought them for my nephew and he had already read them... I really got into them and wifey did too. She wants to go but I am waiting for a serious drop in attendance.

I was at another site, and there were people saying that they felt that Harry Potter was a story glorifying witchcraft and that the author was a satan worshipper. Don't know if that is true, but I read some of the series at work. Didn't really see anything to that, but thankfully, noodle has shown no interest.

Those are probably same people who read Hanzel and Gretel to their children.

Remember I was having second thoughts~?? I guess there were other parents w/the same concern. . .
My daughter's teacher decided not to take the Kindergarten class to see this movie~!! Instead, they saw Monster, Inc. again~!! :p

we all went to see it...mainly because my girls read the book...there were a few things left out, but other than that, i had a hard time enjoying it...it just seemed a bit demonic to me is all...witchcraft and spells just don't get it for me anymore...

First things first, who ever that j.k. rowling was a satanist was very off, although the book is basied on paganism ( witchcraft) any amount of research would reveal that witches and satanism are two very different things and witches do not believe in satan or any thing else that focus' on negitive energy. of course there are some very confused satanist that "call themselves witches....
anyway, as far as the movie, it was good, did miss some parts of the book. Personally i went to see the movie without the kids first, it is too long of a movie for my small children to sit in a crowded theater.
