Purpose of this thread:

for non northern cali hush members attending HN6 to post ALL their ideas for the Northern Cali Hush folks to use while planning HN6.

Rules of the brainstorm:

1. all ideas are welcome

2. bad ideas are ideas you never post

3. there is no limit to posting your ideas

4. no idea is better than any other one

5. NO PM'ING northern cali hush members to 'push' your ideas for the itinerary. we will not be bribed! :upto:

6. Rules can be added or changed to this rules list as we see fit:D

7. northern cali hush members ... do not post in this thread...

8. feel free to post your fears and concerns as well. we want to consider everything

Helpful Hints

a. you will be visiting NORTHERN CALIFORNIA, specifically the BAY AREA. make sure your ideas are specific to the top half of california. when in doubt, ask.

b. feel free to research california websites. Do not post links to this thread. when we print this thread out, we will not be able to visit all links to print those pages. feel free to copy descriptions and post pictures.

Dinner... from 6PM - 9PM (my fav's) Scomas, Biscuit & Blues,Louie's Seafood,Cheesecake Factory,Fog City Diner,

Clubbing....3 level club..a lil jazz, r&b & hip-hop..and rock...(south of market)

Looking into 22 Passenger Hummer Limo rates....so Hush Folks...can get their drink on...and not have to worry about driving....

Ok, here are my suggestions! :upto:

1) Dave & Busters in Milpitas. Fun, drinks, pool, virtual bowling! Rooms can be rented etc. http://www.daveandbusters.com/

2) Karaoke at Hushnic live! I have a machine if y'all need one. Begin suggesting Karaoke songs.

3) If possible...Hushnic live to have online/webcam/conference ability (like through Yahoo Messenger)...to give those that cannot come the ability to join...virtually. Actually attempt to integrate the Hush with Hushnic.

4) Great beaches off of highway 1 near half-moon Bay. Beach party/BBQ!

5) Calistoga in Napa valley (Spas for the ladies!)...very close to Admin's place

6) Amusement parks (Great America and Six Flags)

7) Rental Vans (Hush Bus) to help shuttle folks to events with designated drivers...:upto:

8) Similiar to Chey's suggestion: Red and White fleet bay cruise

9) Alcatraz (Remi and Shtalker can spend time in Solitary Confinement)

10) Napa valley wine train. Expensive, but very nice. (http://www.winetrain.com/)

11) Contest and games (with prizes). I think that a Karaoke game would be cool (Randomly choose person and then randomly choose song...)

12) Raffles

From the great Jello Shots reviews and from the Baked beens recipe from the other threads...maybe there should be a Hushnic cookbook? The cookbook can either be Compiled and printed...or...included on the Hushnic soundtrack.

the reason: we will do OUR OWN brainstorm at the regional meeting. doing it on the board gives us the excuse NOT to attend the regional which DEFEATS the purpose of having a planning committee.

I do have an excuse for not attending the regional. As I have said before...I have saturday commitments...so the likelyhood of me being able to travel to Sac or anywhere in between on Saturday anytime soon is slim. Ya might as well consider me a "outside of the bay area participant" at this time. I do not know if this invalidates my brainstormings (it would be unfortunate if it did), but you are more than welcome to bring my brainstorms to the regional.

(anyway, I do not know why we just can't just do a full hush brainstorming without any limitations..or at least allow it in this thread).

Yeah...but that is why it is called a BRAINSTORM...

Ya know...throwing out ideas...about everything from housing to where to go. We already know that not everyone is going to stay in a hotel, or rent a house etc. Some may stay with others etc...

But, If I were to do a housing brainstorm...

I would add the brainstorm...of renting a hotel and then rent out one of their Suites or rent out a small meeting hall within the hotel....you know...maybe seeing if we can get some kind of room discount. :D

Now this is just a brainstorm...I do not know how much those things costs.

Bay area peeps, I was looking thru vacation rentals for the bay...and they're pretty damn nile......I didn't see much in the way of housing...our "Hush folks" ..the homes were not large enough.....Now if we were in the greater Los Angeles area...it's on and poppin......but the bay does not have that....unless you know of something I don't......we got plenty,plenty...hotels,motels, holiday inn's????......just a thought...in the brainstorming thread???

Uh...let's see....the focus of this thread is to talk about what to do and where to go. Clearly...at about a year before the event, there will be more than enough time to narrow our focus. But this is a BRAINSTORMING....which means for people to bring out their ideas.

Againts this, because I think Hushnic Live is strictly HUSH and only for those who come, but I maybe wrong.

Perhaps there can be several HN6 Committees (General, Hotel, Activities, food etc) for all hush folks who want to participate.
