Qualifies as a so called " cult classic"

In one scene, the star is walking through where some guys are playing BBall. The ball bounces over to him and he throws in a long shot, nothing but net. As he walks on, you hear one of the guys say, " Funny looking muthafucka, but he can shoot!"

I wouldnt waste yall's time with that Jay and Silent Bob crap!
I like the less known moments of a film, but I guess I picked a too obscure moment.

Okay, last clues: This main character is a black male, and in my opinion, he should be considered a close clone, if not more talented, than Mr. Washington. In fact, this actor once joked about Denzel coming along and taking all his roles. The film came out in the mid 80s. Answer in 24 hours.

Dammit, Remi beat me too it. I figured it out immediately. That was the first time I had seen Joe Morton in anything I think. I enjoyed that movie.

I'm curious though. Did that last clue do it, or is this just the first time Remi and Juicy are seeing this thread?

Joe Morton to me is the better actor, but damn, can you imagine a buddy movie, even a brother role jaunt with the two of them. Call it "Head Nigga In Charge"...Spike could pull that off. Maybe the first Black presidential prospect that really looks like he's going to win, and his running mate is also a brother. Of course they would be running for their lives because assassins would be trying nail them with an open season bounty the size of the Lotto proposed by the Man. Or is one of them a double agent? I got it! :
