In a professional work place, do you think it is appropriate for a woman to come into the office in a low cut shirt with some of her breast exposed or a suit jacket with her breast popping out? If you saw no problem with it, how low is too low? Regardless of classy she looks.

I dont think that a woman's breasts need to be popping out of whatever top she is wearing. I don't think that a woman needs to be buttoned all the way up to her neck though.

Well I wear low cut blouses to work and mini skirts. I think it is very tastefully done though. I am not dressing like I am going to the club!!!

My legs are long so the skirt just look short.

Lovely I think it is still appropriate if you look classy and not trashy!! but I wouldn't even try it at a Christian School.

You sport those skirt on the weekend.;)

If you were a man, how would u address the situation?

If you were a woman wearing the low cut shirt or whatever, how would you want to be addressed by either male or female?

i think a woman should be VERY careful what she wears......especially a business woman that wants to be taken seriously....showing skin at work can be considered very unprofessional...just know the work environment that you are in...but also understand that sometimes to break the glass ceilings that are there...you have to do things a little bit different than what you would normally do.

there's no way to professionalize a shirt cut almost to one's navel...

unfortunately, we can't get away with what tv kids do in the real world...

glass ceilings are not only imposed by the white man that is in charge....they are more imposed by society....in the business world it is all about respect and in some cases that respect is ALL in the way that your present yourself.

if you want to be taken seriously at work.....i would consider my wardrobe. Now, that is not to say that you can't do what ms greer (principal on harvey show) does....but...u are then fighting an uphill battle...

well.......

here at the station, i wear jeans...........

i might dress up once a week.

and i wear hair wraps too.

but, i'll be damn if ANYBODY go say shit to me about how i dress. as long as i treat them with respect and do they damn work (better than they do on top of that) then, what they go say to me?

every where i go, i fight the up hill battle. don't hurt me none. but i gets what i want...... :hammer

when they start to pay me good money to wear my good clothes, THEN i'll think about it......... but right now, they are paying enough to buy detergent to keep my jeans washed and not enough to get my professional fits dry cleaned.:fu

my bad.......

i totally didn't anwser the question:

her outfit should be comparable to her industry, company, position, weather climate, money they pay her and how she feels.

short skirt or low top...if we were in ecuador, would ya see yourself walking around in a business formal suit going to meet your clients who got on shorts and snorkel set?:p

Que is right. The glass ceiling & the good ol' boy network still exists. Ally McBeal & the principal from the Steve harvey show is hollywood. You have to conform & sometimes being what they call "ethnic" can hurt you. Braids for men scares white america.Unless you are like me with an "I don't kiss no goddamn ass to be accepted" attitude.

i feel u, djackso...its not always about kissin ass....

its about survival...its about gettin YOURS....its about SUCCESS!

you have to be comfortable with yourself, but...to some extent we all give in to society.....even if but a lil bit.

You sport braids to work. I wear the basic uniform. Like Que said most of us conform a bit with the intent to get a bigger slice of the pie...
