Has anyone paid attention to the "balance scales" icon located underneath the forum member's name?

Apparently, you can approve or disapprove of people's "reputation" and once someone has voted on a member then a little light shows up next to their number of posts.

Now, I went through and voted on everyone and all those I've done have turned green. When you scroll your mouse over it, it tells you that that member is on a distinguished role. I'm gonna keep voting from now on and see if it changes colors and/or messages.

Some people's are black and if you scroll your mouse over it, it tells you that that person had disabled this function?

This reminds me of the BlackVoices 5-star voting function that allows you to rate a member's posts. I guess that's an anonymous way of letting folks know what you think of what they have to say.

Is anyone else voting on people's "reputation" on here? Just curious. . . .

I just realized that mine is disabled, let me go to USER CP and see how to enable it.

But when I clicked on my own scale it told me that I had 10 reputations points. . .

ADMIN, is this a contest?!?!?!?!

Are these points redeemable for free gifts or merchandise?!?!?!?!?!?

Also, I tried to vote for the same person to see if the color of their light would change and I got the message "you have to spread some reputation around before voting for this member again". . .hahahahaha, that's funny.

Your current reputation level is displayed to other users whenever you post a message. If you would like to hide your reputation, disable this option.

You currently have *** reputation points.

I had noticed the scale, but didn't think to look to see what it meant.

Is the only way you can see someone's reputation (other than yourself) is to vote on their reputation?

I've never noticed it before.

You can also add a comment, lol lol Lawd have mercy! Let the hatin begin, this morning I was at one number and there's been some 'hate' so I've dropped, lol lol I clicked to see if anyone had left some 'words' of wisdom, lol Nope, but it also outlines what post the reputation(s) are based on.

Now I agree with Ice.

Very funny. . .I tried to get everyone to "gang up" on QUE and give a negative response so I could see what the message would be.

I still haven't figured out how many points it is when you approve or disapprove.

Check yours now and see what it says, I just voted for you and left a msg, too.

Here's what it does
===================
The Hush's user reputation system provides a way of rating users based on the quality of their posts.

Users on the forums can add or subtract reputation points from other users by clicking the reputation link in their posts.

User reputations allow the users to tell the Hush which users are quality and which users are not. And in response to user feedback, The Hush has the ability to label and reward users for the quality of their posts, as is indicated by their reputation.

User reputation levels work very similar to user titles and user ranks in that they are an indicator of status that are displayed next to names in posts.

Admin can reward quality users by creating promotions on the Promotions page.

==========
Fam, I have not gotten time to spend with this new option yet, but I will get to it after Hushnic. Alsom if you do not like it or think that it will be HURTFUL fo members, please fel free to post a POLL about this and if the majority votes to banish this option, I can turn it off.
