Aside from the business cards that are provided by your job. . .where are some places that you can get business cards besides KINKO's?

Is KINKO's cheaper than a stationary or supply store?

Has anyone ordered them off the internet?

What is a good price per 100? per 500? per 1000?

I know you can print them but I'm thinking for a huge quantity that it won't be cost-efficient.

I have used Iprint.com. I got 250 color business cards for $85 (they were running a special at the time) about 4 years ago. The cards came out great. They also have great prices.

I have no idea about how much they should cost. I'll ask my mother later on tonight. She's bought tons of business cards in her day.

I have used iprint for post-it notes before. I used business cards.com for my cards, I uploaded my logo and they can fax or email a proof to you.

I visited ivillage.com to check reviews from stay-at-home moms. :)

Bright,

The absolute best place is....

vistaprint.com

I have a current ad for a discount, do you want it? It is only temporary.

Order the Glossy print though, it is worth the money.

yeah, I get mine from vistaprint.com, too. Mine are a gloss finish and they look like four-color press. Even without the discount, I paid $40 for 250.

If you have more of a creative business/service, is it more acceptable to use a colored background?

I think I might order two styles. A formal one and an informal one.

thats what i want to do, bright...

the formal one for people that invest like me...

and then the

other card that explains what i do.........and how i can help them....

That's exactly what I want to do. . .

I figured that I'd get 1000 of the colorful, informal cards to give to customers because they would stand out.

Then have a formal set for networking, mixers, etc.

I only paid $35.99(for 500) for my business cards in Emeryville. Black and white with raised printing.

I've always maintained a POB at the post office. With the type of work I do (word processing) clients have a tendency to show up unannounced if they know where you are and that you're homebased. It's only about $35 per year for a medium-sized box. Having a separate address for the business also looks better when you are filing your Sched C and taking the various deductions. Something about it looking less like a hobby, but don't quote me. ;)
