Thats exactly what my husband said after he stopped cursing. He was in the marching band and he don't remember having to pay out that kind of money for anything.

Get this. I made the lady show me what I was paying for. They have a list where its all broken down. I am going to list some of the prices I can remember:

water backpack--------20.00
shoes--------------------30.00
shirts--------------------15.00
band uniform deposit-10.00 TEN FUCKING DOLLARS YA'LL!!!
dry cleaning------------73.00
band booster----------10.00

Thats all I can remember because I was seeing red as she continued down the list.

The had a carwash Saturday and raised about 400.00. Don't ask me what that money will go towards because I don't know. There is a pledge drive that I found out about Saturday that is due in tomorrow where the kids ask friends and family to pledge money towards their band account. Whatever money the kids collect goes into an account for them that will help defray the cost of band trips that they will be taking throughout the year.

I thank the Lord this is the last kid I have to put through high school. I pray that my kids will be around and able to care for their own children so that I won't have to because I don't want to go through this kinda crap again.
