Although she’s paying Mariah Carey’s PR camp a hefty $6,000 a month to do very limited publicity, Faith Evans’ parent record company, Arista Records, are the ones copping her the real media placements. I really got a kick out of reading the First Lady of Puffy Combs’ Bad Boy Entertainment’s Q&A in last week’s issue of Time Out New York, in which she “broke” her silence about Queen of Hip-Hop Soul Mary J. Blige being paranoid and quite rude at her husband’s funeral, her rumored affair with slain rap icon Tupac Shakur, and having “run-ins” with hip-hop sexpot Lil’ Kim. “I beat her ass,” Faith tells the weekly mag’s music critic Margeaux Watson. “B.I.G. was standing there like, ‘I didn’t f@#% her!’ I said, ‘Well, you should’ve, stupid!
