Question: How do you feel about women wearing wigs? :upretty Wigs have come a very long way these days and now you can get almost any hair salon style in the form of a wig. They look more natural (well some of them) and they are soooooo convenient.

I mean if there was some type wig show going, would you attend or are wigs taboo?

Just a thought.

Own several and would like more. Since this weather here has been HUMIDITY city - I've wet and slicked back my hair and put on some big earrings (I have a good face and head for this, lol) and been rocking the looking bald look - but I might throw on one over the weekend, lol

I wouldn't have a problem attending at all. I love the versatility they provide.

As a matter of fact, whenever I go to the beauty supply (hair) store for shampoo, etc. I tend to stroll past all the wigs and hair pieces and if I have time, I even try on a few to preview a specific style or cut.

The only problem I have is that my hair is very thick and so to cover it up in a wig will have my scalp on fire. I can't imagine how some of these women wear a wig for 8+ hours.

I have about a 2-3.5 hour threshhold and then that bad boy is coming off. . .lol, at me leaving a club, party or get-together and snatching out a ponytail, fall or wig while walking to the car. . .

I have seen the ones with more netting or mesh and seen that technique where you're supposed to pull you hair out in various places. But to me that didn't make sense because of the texture of most wigs. . .they seem to be bone-straight unless it's a curly or natural style.

Wigs/fake hair etc have been with us since (and proably before) Egyptian times. So I don't see a problem with it.

Now I wouldn't wear one except for Halloween...but...hea...whateva's cleva!

i dont think wigs are taboo. get in where you fit in.

i have tried wearing them myself but because my own hair is long plopping a wig on top makes for a very hot head. so in my particular case they are not practical for all day every day use.

now i have been known to rock a wig of a different color for errraaaaahhhmaahhhh entertainment purposes. but that is a different thing altogether.

The add variety, no diff than weave or braids. I been on the look out for a short short wig, but cant find a nice looking one...I'm thinking of having my hairdresser make me a custom one.

I've never worn one, although I do own some, I can't get them over my big ass head, or maybe it's my poofy hair. I do like them though. My sister has some really cute wigs. One was this short flipped style, it was really cute, I thought it was her hair.

I was never into the wigs. I prefer weaves, braids etc.

But to each his own.
