I couldn't watch The Shining as a kid.... I didn't finish watching this movie un~til High School...

I was never really scared of movies.. I guess I was exposed to them so young.

The movie that scarred me to death was Nightmare on Elm Street, the very first one. I couldn't even stay at my own apartment that night. I stayed at my mom's house. I haven't seen it again since then. I have seen bits and pieces of the sequels, but not all of them.

Admin, the Shining scared me to, but nothing like Nightmare.

Only three horror flicks have scared me, the rest....I eat them like candy:

The Exorcist
The Amityville Horror
The Gates of Hell (my dad found this in Italy...scared me to death)

Gosh Melotic, your brave.....I think that the Exorcist and Amityville scared me because at the time of their release there were rumours that they were true. I cannot watch any scary movie that is supposedly "true". Now, the Shining didn't scare me one bit, I love that movie, but the book was better.
