First of all, I cannot believe that no one posted this already~!! :eek:

Did anybody catch the show last night~?? It aired on BET. . . they were honoring Patti LaBelle~!! :)

I thought Faith was really good. . . and I can listen to Brian McKnight sing all night long~!! :upto: :evil:

I enjoyed the show~!! ;) I thought the Access Granted/Backstage/After Party was the best part~!!


What are your thoughts~??

I was moved to tears....especially when Patti sung over the Rainbow" and the Lord's Prayer. Faith did a great job. I wish they had given Jill Scott a solo..but she did good. India.Arie did good, but I don't think Musiq knew all the words. All in all it was a good show. I didn't care for the After party show...Kim just acts to ignant for me( the way she tried to clown ole girl about Gerald Levert). Oh how could I leave his performance out...he tore it up(with his cute self).

Babygirl, I should have said that everyone except Kim during the Access Granted / After Party portion of the show. . . was good~!! :rolleyes: She made me so sick. . . :(

I just like seeing all the celebs relaxed and just buggin. . but, not buggin like Kim was~!! :eek: :rolleyes:

I was in tears also when Patti sang the Lord's Prayer. . . did they have to show scenes from September 11th~?? :confused: I couldn't hold back the tears. . and really didn't even try~!!

Since the VIACOM buyout, to me, they have gone down in entertainment. I do not like BET (I already said that huh?)

I did catch a lil of last nights show (I love me some Patti), but I could not watch the entyire show. I saw Musiq and India Irie sing some wack ass song and I saw Brian McKnight ( he was good but the shirt was gay!)

Anyway. Peace to Patti and BET needs to take it back to the days of Donnie Simpson and Video Soul.

Admin, I'm not crazy about BET either~!! :rolleyes: Matter of fact, I don't even watch any of those shows you listed. . but, I am so glad I caught that show last night~!! :)

I really enjoyed that. . . Patti was truly deservant of that honor~!!

I missed the first 15 minutes of it. I didn't get to see Faith, Mariah (if she sang). The rest of the show was very good. I cried too when Patti sang The Lords Prayer.

I thought that it was very good. I especially enjoyed "Over the Rainbow" . It was one of the few times that I have watched BET lately.

I enjoyed it. I just wish I could have been the casting director/producer, cause, while i have no problems with the artists on the show, they could have picked better people to sing that woman's songs.

Faith and Gerald Levert was EXCELLENT! Perfect...

You know you were NOT gonna keep Luther away.

Everyone else...they were better off singing their own songs dedicated to Patti.

and of course...

Patti and Nona and Sarah were GREAT!!!!!!!
