You might wanna check yours soon....last time I did this was in 2000 and I found some bullshyt on mine and was able to clean it up..

Just a suggestion.

The last time i pulled mine..i was embarressed. A lot of little stuff on there(under 150.00)...that if i just took the time and paid one off a month i would be straight in a year or so. But i dont have the money to even pay one small extra bill a month. Sad but true.:(

Some jobs look at it to see if you are responsible & based employment on it so make sure it is correct. Employers won't tell you that though.

i got mine off the internet over at www.myfico.com very secure and legit...they actually give you the credit score
that banks use..but add you credit report also...

my job checked up on me and i didn't find out until i went to get a car...one time they had my dad's bills on my report (we have the same name) and at the time the account was opened i was in the fourth grade...so it's all kinds of ways that errors appear

call transunion's 800 number and you can get it for free, of course...select the "you've applied for credit within the last 30 days" option, then it will prompt you to give your info...you'll get your report within 2 weeks

when you get it, contest EVERY charge out there...they'll contact the company and if the company does not respond within 30 days, it's off your record...

however, if they do you may put a comment of up to 25 words on that particular item on your report...

and you are guaranteed 1 free copy per 6 months...that's the law!

If you got some old debts and you think the company is out of business, have them do an investigation, you might win. you can also do a settlement with a company..

Say you owe 1,200.00 on a 6 year old account. Write the company and tell them that you have $50they will wipe the slate clean. Most will take the offer and you are off the hook for about 1/2 of what you owe them. It worked for me:D
