My wife's long time hair cornerstone, some steam rollers that go back to college days went out, she chucked it in the trash before she found out how times have changed, and the smooth rollers are all that's out there in the retail stores.

She says the smooth rollers do not hold as well as the rollers with the ones with the little spikes. She had not considered that maybe she could have used the older rollers on the newer steamer unit. Please help wifey out, me too because I have to listen to her groan about how bad the new ones are. If you know of good internet sites...( I've done the usual searches)

Thanks.

steam rollers with spikes?

for as long as i can remembered, they have always had the smoothed barrels. and i agree... they don't hold for jack! tell her she may be out of luck and have to go with the plastic with spikes. HOWEVER, if ya find them, let a sista know! :D

Goody got the 'ouchless' brand of pillow rollers. i am assuming by having the steam rollers she didn't want to sleep in roller sets, but, this may be a good option to the alternative.

me, i'm sorta stuck on the sponge plastic closure rollers.

Some things you just don't want to get second hand. You never know who has had them before you.

The local beauty supply store should have everything she needs.

You can get some at a Thrift Store. My hair gets tangled in them. I am still upset that my Caruso Steam rollers just fell the hell apart, lol lol
