Have your parents ever disappointed you, if so how?
Have they ever disappointed your kids as a grandparent? If so did you as the parent pick up the slack and try to explain.

Yes. Many, many, many times; to the point that I have not spoken to my mother in over 7 months and about 3 to my father. Just sad, but sometimes it is easier to love even your parents from afar.
To sum it all up; I have always felt like a mother/father less child and was raised in the home with both parents. They were to occupied with their unhappy marriage to realize they had a child who needed them in her corner. :( It is a true struggle everyday to NOT raise my girls the way I was raised.

No, I can't think of a time that my parents ever disappointed us as children. My parents never told us they were going to do something and didn't do it. My parents have never disappointed my children either.
I am truly Blessed to have the parents I have. Thank you Jesus!

was disappointing..but I have learned to forgive both my parents and step-parents for their roles or lack there of. In many aspects, I take what few postive things there were and applied them in my adult life. I made a vow, not to raise or treat my child(ren) the way I was treating as a child.

Yeah I have been dissappointed by both my parents... But in the big scheme of things, they helped me become who I am right now. And for that I am grateful.

I have been truely blessed. My parents did an excellent job raising me and my siblings and never disappointed any of us. To date I have a very close relationship with both my mother and father.

They have disappointed me many times. They don't live up to my expectations of how a parent should be.
