Yo, has anyone tried any of the many credit management services? You know...were you pay them and they pay all of your creditors.

Do they work? what's involved?

my sister used one...she paid the fee for them to handle it and it took FOREVER when she could have called each company and arranged a plan with them...NO company's gonna turn down being paid, no matter how much it is...

A friend of mine works for Ameridebt and how they work is you call them with all your bills, they lump all yo shit together and give you a monthly payment and automatically debit it from your checking account.

I would suggest you try and do it on your own first.. even when your shit is sent to collection agency and they tell you we will settlle for half the amount, they sometimes sell the other half to another collection agency.

But sometimes taking a buy out on your credit card debt will be reported negatively on your credit report depening on the dollar amount.. I would say talking to them to see about lowering your interest rate.. some will do that... You have to call and write a bunch of letters but I know Discover will do it.
