My father always said, if you go to JAIL/PRISON...the only way I'll support your ass...if it was self defense and you killed someone???

Tickets...turned into warrants, drug dealing, DUI'S...all that is dumb shit....and can be helped......Agree or disagree????

Do I turn my back on someone very close to me, because of the above shit...or do I stand by him.....(I'm too old for this shit!!!)

That would depend on how close this person is too you....

if it's a minor and your child, i would be there for him, but if i knew he was guilty, he'd pay the price for what he's done. I'm in this boat with my son, and he is paying...killing the boy, but i hope he's learning...I wonder sometimes though.

if it's a mate...drug dealing i would not put up with..he'd certainly have to go, DUI's, that could affect you in the long run as well. Not to sure if i'd stand by him and support him....

if its a good friend, i might stand by if i saw they were trying to help themselves.

To sum it all up, i'd stand by all emotionally, like if they needed to talk to someone and what not...I DO NOT VISIT PRISONS...i'll write ya but that's it.

Money wise, i don't think so either.

You can only be there for so long.....if they have no intention on doing the rightthing, they'll only use you and hurt you in the long run.

For some reason black folks love jail. I got a cousin who would rather spent 30 days in jail than take an anger management class. I got another one who wouldn't get a license but spends time in cook county for driving without one. Like Thick said one time only but after that it becomes habitual & who needs that.

However, a close personal friend is currently paying for one two many DUI's and some ticket shit....(stooooopid),,,,I know....that's why I choose to always drive myself....anywaysssssssss.......I told him he was ass-out and I won't visit...and won't defintely support his actions or behavior...just some dummb shit.....so now I'm classifed as a selfish woman.....I despise acohol and drugs it fucks up black folks mind...everytime!!!!:blah: :blah:
