I met this guy online last week. He is cool and I like him...but he is clingy, and getting on my nerves.

I told him the other day that he needed to slow down, stop calling me his baby and stop making plans for us since there is not yet an us to plan for. He said he understood but everytime I sit down at my computer he is IM'ing me, if I don't answer the IM he is calling me on the phone. Ugh!

I am online all day and just about all night but that don't mean I want to talk to him everytime. Dag.

As I said I do like him, so I don't want him to go away all together just back off a little bit...how do I say that and get him to understand?

If I'm invisible I can't talk to anyone online. I didn't say I don't want to talk just not to him. Sometimes I'm in the midst of a conversation with someone and don't feel like juggling windows but I can't go invisible with one person and not all.

I don't wanna block him. I do want to talk to him just not all the time.

He sounds like he could be a fatal attraction on down the line. Has he ever met you? He seems to be a little too clingy for someone he has never met. Be careful with that one.

Tastey,if you have already told the man to chill-which it sounds like you did-and he still doesn't respect that-then you should really evaluate if this is someone you want to continue to deal with ,if they can't even respect your wishes ,in the beginning. Good luck

maybe you just spend too much time online and ya need to leave the danged computer alone.....for a while. But chances are that you'd start lookin like this :eek:, then like this :( , then like this :blast , if ya dont get your chat on. I know if you back off its all squashed, because the way you stated it, it seems like this guy wants that 'tastey' flavor in his mouth..and guys can get caught up, like this one; you did say clingy :blah: :blah:

otherwise...
its just best to tell him to back off..period. If his feelings get hurt, so be it. You have to always watch how you initiate these online relationships...they can get ugly really quickly.....
